So I've been doing alot of drawing of my henna designs on canvas and paper and things. I made some new pieces today but i'm not listing them until tomorrow, but I thought you'd like a sneak peek at whats coming.

I've been so busy it feels like I've been going and going since Feb. Its been crazy. There was pre-faire then there was big faire then there was Corona faire, then karate stuff, then bellydance kaleidascope, then big bear faire. Bellydancing events are at least coming to an end for a while because most of our group are monsters at Knotts Halloween Haunt so no practices or events until Nov. But work-wise things are only going to get more crazy. Starting Sept. 1st I will have my own program with Chino Hills parks & rec. I'm a little worried about not making enough money but I'm hoping it all works out ok.

On the home front, I'm living in the house but I'm not sure for how long. I'm sort of stuck just sitting here waiting for everybody else to do what they have to do to take care of it. Its really nice to be in a house instead of a apartment. The dogs are happy to have a yard and have so much space. The house still needs so mich work, its so old and just really needs some TLC and some money. I'm doing what i can but most of it will have to wait.

I'm also working on getting my walk team together for the "Our Local Fight" walk for breast cancer. We have a few team members already but I'd really like more. And with the economy the way it is I really hope we can still raise some money to help the Foundation. So last weekend Jill had to go to a wedding in San Francisco so that meant that i got to fill in her spot for all the dances.

I did the pot dance and i didn't drop it!

This weekend is my last weekend dancing :( i'm sad cuz i really like it and i've had a good time. but corona faire starts and i already commited to a booth there so i have to be there instead of the last 2 weekends of big southern faire.

Today is my birthday, I'm 27 wow that sounds way to cose to 30, AHHHHHHH ....ok got that out of my system. anyways my mom wrote a really sweet blog about it and you should go check it out http://disphotos.blogspot.com/ On other things, faire starts this weekend and i've been doing pre-faire evey weekend so far hence the lack of blogging and then my stupid power cable on my computer stopped working, so until i get a new one i'm doing everything from my new phone, man i am so glad i got a G1 that way i still have net access. i plan on taking tons of pictures when i'm not dancing so hopefully i will get the uter fixed sson so you all can see them. and during faire season every week usualy around weds. you can go to www.rennaissancefaire.net and click on faires and then santa fe dam faire and click on each date from that weekend and he will have thousands of pictures from faire and hundreds of our dance troupe. thanks for listening to me ramble on!!

Just dropping a quick note to let everyone know i'm alive and ok. Mostly exhausted. We've been practicing all day saturdays & sundays at the fair site and late into tuesday nite and i've still been working all my hours and on top of all of this i'm trying to start an outside karate program at the local montessori schools in town. heres som pics I took at site this weekend. hopefully some of us dancing soon. we are trying to set up a photo shoot soon.

Its been a very long week and not much has happened. I pulled a muscle in my back last saturday at dance practice so most of my week has been spent sitting or laying with ice on it and going to the chiropractor and thats about it. But I feel much better today.

So my week wasn't very exciting, same as always. With the exception of yesterday(sat) Did alot of web stuff this week, listing new things, taking pictures of them stuff like that.

Lots of talk with Suzie and my dad this week about opening a shop eventually. Its a consignment shop that will focus on ren themed items as well as local artists and designers. We'll have to wait it out to see if it ever actually goes any where.

On a super awesome note Bey Abi (the bellydance troupe im with) found out that we are performing at the big Rennaissance Faire!

We had black belt testing all week for 3 of our boys so that was most of my week. 3 days of sparring and 1 day of everything else.

Then yesterday after black belt testing Ferret came and installed my dreads(pics below) I freakin love them!!! then we had dance practice and the awesome Sooz came to give us pointers and drill us in ATS(American Tribal Style) I learned so so much and it was great. But i am really sore today. Then i we all went to club skandal to watch Ferret, Nonnie & Sooz perform. It was way cool except for all the goth girls that looked like they wanted to beat me up cuz im not all goth-d out. I took a ton of pictures. Here are some:

Why I've Been So Busy:

The reason I've been so busy is that I've been planning my very first craft fair/boutique. I have been in a few before but this is the first one I've ever put on. And let me tell you dealing with all these artsy types has been a helluva lot of work. But hopefully it will go well and be very worth it. In fact if it does go well it will be an ongoing monthly event. So wish me luck and please come by to support it. I will have plenty of pictures and blog how it goes on Sunday or Monday.

So I know with the holidays I have been very neglectful to my blog but now that they are over and the new year has begun I am making a resolution to blog more. So to help make me blog more I've decided to do Project 365 So I will be taking a picture every day and posting it here with a description and on my flickr page here. Heres my picture from today. Better Then I Expected

So it took me quite a while to decide that I was even going to see Twilight at all. But now that I've seen it i'm glad that I did. It was much much better then I expected. I think the cinematography and the special effects were so awful. But i was so happy that they didn't completely destroy the story trying to make money like they do with most movies. They kept the story true and changed very little. I still think it could have been a million times better but it wasn't bad. I will be seeing it again due to some missed dialogue while the tweens were all screaming. It was the midnight showing so i was at least expecting that. Anyway, i liked it and i think you should read the books and go see the movie. The series is the best books i've ever read (and ive read ALOT of books)

p.s. i then came home and had rice for dinner. because i like it.

So, I've lived in this apartment for over a year and yesterday I realized just how much stuff I still haven't gotten for it that I need. So heres my list of 13 things I still need for my apartment.

1. rice cooker (I eat rice at like 5 or 6 times a week) 2. curtains (I have sheets on my bedrooms window) 3. coffee table 4. crockpot (the lady i used to live with wont give mine back & it had sentimental value cuz my uncle terry got it for me) 5. dining room chairs ( i got a great wood table from my dad, unfinished so i can henna-fy it but he couldnt afford the chairs) 6. pasta pot (at least 3-4 nites a week) 7. steak knives (i use the big kinives to cut my meat) 8. food processor 9. BBQ (i use my mini george forman now) 10. iron 11. a lamp in the living room ( the tv is my light in there) 12. a clock (my phone is the only clock in the whole house) 13. tv stand (you don't want to know how unsafe it is) If you buy from my shop (http://www.cutthroatbodyart.etsy.com/) please know that you are contributing to me hopefully one day getting some of these things. Saturday during the 3 year old class we had a visitor:

He didn't want to leave, so we got him into a box and took the box outside, but.....he liked the box so much he didn't want to get out. He stayed in the box the whole class till we had to go, the he hung out inside the gate and monday we came in and he had flown away. That was very wordy but if it wasn't the pictures wouldn't have made any sense

The best reason: i took out all the calories and fat just for you!! The Foundation pays for women who find a lump in their breast and have no insurance or lack of insurance, if you are under 40 even the government will not help. ASpril of 2007 i found a lump (i have no insurance) I called the foundation and they took care of everything, luckily it wasn't cancer but it was still such a rollarcoaster, they were there for me the whole way, going to appointments will me so i wasn't alone calling me to see how it went if they didn't go. I won't be on at all this weekend. Tonite is the premier party for the midnight release of BD and i will be reading it. Then Sat. nite I have tickets to CRUE FEST!!!!!!!! In the pitt! Motley Crue and Buckcherry! I am so freakin' excited. 2 of my top 3 bands together and close enough thtat i can touch them!!!I think i might cry tears of joy!

Walk For Breast Cancer detection & Treatment

The walk for health is a non-competitive walk supporting the Foundation for Community and Family Healths commitment to fight cancer through early detection and education. The proceeds from the walk go directly to the Health Detection fund which pays for breast cancer screenings and treatment for women 18-39 that would otherwise have to pay for it out of their own pocket. There are no government programs to cover this age group for these problems and even some insurance companies won't cover the screenings if you are under 40. I am looking for people to walk on my team or to help with donations for this event. It is held in Corona, Ca. If you would like more info you can go to www.ourlocalfight.org or just message me. The Foundation paid for my ultrasounds and all screenings of the lump I found, without them I would have had to pay out of my pocket and I just don't have that kind of money. Along with the treatment they gave me a wonderful support net with a caring group of women that really helped me through the emotional parts. And i came out of it with great new friends. I do this walk every year to attempt in some small way to pay them back for everything they've done for me. Please join me to help raise funds to save the life of a mother, daughter, sister, wife or friend.

Busy busy weekend. First I went to the parade on Friday. Its so funny because no matter how big Corona gets this parade is still just a cheesy home town parade that anybody can be in for no apparent reason at all. This is Sharon Martinez. She has Breast cancer and basically was told that there isn't anything more they can do for her. But she is the sweetest nicest lady I've ever met. And she has helped raise a ton of money for The Foundation.(p.s. the walk for breast cancer is coming up and i'm looking for team members)

My day job is a karate instructor and I tend to think of all the kids as my kids. I found out last nite that one of my 13 year old students has suffered a great tragedy. He lost both his parents May 31st. He has a younger sister who is 8. These are both wonderful wonderful children that now have nothing left. They are trying to raise money thru the on my own but not alone foundation. Please help by donating anything you can to the Summers children fund, they are greatly in need and they've lost the most important people in their whole world. Thank you for your kindness. So much has happened the last few days. Biggest and most importantly my sister had her first baby. Meet Logan:

He is 7lbs. and 22 inches long. He is so long! She ended up having to have a c section after a whole day of labor but she did so good. and david was with her the whole time he's done great too.

And Dad is officially gramps now.

This was also the last weekend of faire. It was pretty slow again but it was nice. The people from the rat races got their revenge on the whole faire and took special time out for Bri's booth which was nice since she had spent so much time rebuilding it. This was her and Chelsea's braid work for me for the last day:

sick and tired

I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired. I am always sick, all the time. If its not endo pain its a cold or the flu or the stomache flu. I haven't felt good in a month. Blah. Anyways thats why I haven't blogged lately and i haven't really made anything new. Hopefully this weekend i will feel better. I have Palm Springs ren faire march 29-31. so i have to get up a stock of product to take with me. I'm thinkin the old retired folk arent going to be into tattoos. but ya never know!

Here is one of the blank things i pictured on sunday. I'm calling it the key to my heart purse. But i'm just not sure if its done yet. what do you think? Should i do something on the back too, or the sides? I'm just not sure yet. Sometimes i over do things ii don't want to do that with this one. I think i'm going to just sit and stare at it for a while to see what i come up with. When i finish the others i will put them up too.

I'm so happy today to be decorating TruBBle's(jenni's) faire bag. Its basically an infamous bag in our faire circle due to the amount of times she's lost it and we've had to find it. I'm not going to do any pre-thought out design i'm just going to start painting and see what happens. She loves pretty much everything i've ever done so i know she'll love it. I will post pictures of the finished product.

I also got more wood pieces to do some more henna on. I really like doing that more then the paint but i do love the brightness of the paint.

So being that this is my first official blog i figured i should tell you what i'm thinking my blogs will be about and apologize in advance for my horrible typing, grammer, and punctuation errors that i will be making. (my run-on sentences are the worst) I don't have one specific thing i want my blogs to focus on, my brain tends to hop to random things constantly so i refuse to make any promises. However i do know that i woud like to blog about my pieces that I''m making and selling in my etsy store(www.cutthroatbodyart.etsy.com) and in my ren faire booths. You will probably also read alot about endometriosis since my diseas has such a huge effect on my life, and my pieces so often come from trying to distract from the pain. Knowing me you will also randomly hear about my "babies" also known as pets to some people. (Like how right now my snake is about to shed for the first time since i got her and its way cool.) I am totally open to comments, questions and suggestions as long as its not rude. I am a new blogger and still not really sure what im doing. Off to work now.....thanks for living in my world for a minute.
